One of the cool things about poke is it’s put together in layers. On the bottom you might have rice or lettuce greens. Then the ingredients you want to eat are added. From proteins to vegetables, the flavor combination is your choice. From there, the sauces are put on top. Most places put seasonings on top too, but before they do, they mix the bowl up to evenly distribute the ingredients. Then top with seasonings and  sesame seeds.

One of the reasons we love poke is you can decide what ingredients you like and which item you don’t. This means you can be picky and still eat a relatively healthy lunch or dinner. And you will be full too!
